JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Logistics Supply Chain Manager. This person must have extensive interaction and experience in a Manufacturing/Production environment. The position is based at their company operations in Randfontein. This is now a permanent position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall procurement, stocking, receiving and delivery of supplies, parts and material
Co-ordinate the full cycle of Procurement, Warehouse and Logistics management
Negotiate with suppliers and communicate with internal customers
Nurture and encourage good relationships with vendors – existing and new
Manage both internal and external customer’s expectations
Management of Inventory
Budgeting and cost control of the Supply chain function
Identification of bottlenecks and implementation of suitable solutions
Monitor quality, quantity, stock levels, lead times and efficiency
Continuously analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements as may be needed
Ensure proper housekeeping as well as compliance to the OSH Act
Maintenance of all the stores tools, equipment and functional areas
Management of the departmental staff – including training, coaching and discipline
Foster positive working environment and maintain good staff morale

Requirements

This is an AFFIRMATIVE ACTION position
Grade 12
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics is preferred
MUST HAVE 5 years Manufacturing/Production support experience as a Logistics Supply Chain Manager - This is Non-negotiable.
Valid Code 10 driver’s license
Good Management and leadership skills
Computer literate - MS Office
Advanced Excel skills
Extensive experience with ERP and MRP systems is a must (Evolution/Pastel would be beneficial)
Good Database management experience is essential
Good communication skills – Both verbal and written with all levels of staff
