Overview
Supplier of FMCG products and services requires the expertise of a seasoned Logistics and Production Manager to lead a team of around 40 people.

Minimum Requirements:
Completed grade 12
Tertiary qualification related to supply chain/ production would be advantageous
5 or more years relevant experience
2 or more years management experience
Strong MS Office skills with a focus on Excel

Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage all activities within the production process, including maintenance and the workforce
Create and implement organisational/production changes on an operative level
Focus on growing business and revenue by implementing necessary changes to product/production lines to enter new markets or grow existing territories
Manage logistics, warehousing, and stock of raw materials used in production
Liaise and negotiate with customers and suppliers
Implement and enforce health and safety procedures
Assist with new supply strategies
Effective planning and monitoring of vehicle routes
Analyse budgets and continuously control production costs and identify and rectify waste measures
Manage stock levels, delivery times, and transport costs by effectively using relevant IT systems
Analyse data from systems in order to coordinate and control the order cycle, evaluate performance and quality and advise on improvements
