M&A Associate | Nairobi, Kenya

SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity exists for an ambitious M&A Associate to join a leading banking firm as it expands its operations in Nairobi, Kenya. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in building the firm's East African presence while working on high-profile mergers & acquisitions, capital raising and corporate finance transactions across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare client pitches, presentations and transaction execution materials.
• Support business development and origination activities across Kenya and East Africa.
• Develop financial models and perform company valuations for M&A and capital raising transactions.
• Prepare information memoranda, teaser documents and other transaction marketing materials.
• Coordinate due diligence processes, including managing virtual data rooms and investor information requests.
• Assist with transaction documentation and liaise with legal and professional advisors.
• Engage with clients, investors and prospective bidders throughout transaction processes.
• Prepare KYC documentation and conduct client background checks.
• Mentor and oversee junior team members.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field. Minimum 3 years' experience in one or more of the following: Investment Banking Audit Investing Management Consulting Development Finance Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach. Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment.
