SUMMARY:
Responsible for quality control and visual inspections of the Works and construction activities

POSITION INFO:
This position is site spesific for the duration of the project. The following: Education and experience: No formal education and minimum 10 years relevant experience National diploma in Civil Engineering and minimum 5 years relevant experience National diploma in Civil Engineering with Pr. Techni Registration and minimum 2 years relevant experience after registration Registration: Pr. Techni -with the Engineering Council of SA (ECSA) or any other body recognized by ECSA, i.e. Washington Accord, Dublin Accord, Sydney Accord. Experience with COTO (COLTO) will enable you to do the following duties: Quality control and maintenance of test request books; Monitoring and visual inspections of the Works and construction activities; Monitoring and assess material, borrow pit and quarry utilisation; Coordinate testing activities between the Contractor and the Site Laboratory; Assessment of laboratory test results and reporting; Graphic preparation and interpretation of all test results where required; Mix design and Trial Section evaluation and reporting; Preparing, compiling and submission of Monthly Materials reports; Monthly audit; Formalise materials As-Built data and submit final (approved) report in accordance with Client requirements; Maintenance of daily site diary; Any other reasonable request.
