MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST Location: Alberton, Gauteng Industry: Healthcare Employment Type: Permanent | Full-Time Working Hours: Monday – Friday | 08:30 – 17:30 THE OPPORTUNITY Medical Resources Group is recruiting on behalf of a client for a Medical Receptionist to join a professional psychology and psychometry practice in Alberton. The successful candidate will provide reception, patient liaison and administrative support to the practice, working closely with psychologists, psychometrists, psychiatrists, patients, and other healthcare professionals.   About the role: Patient & Reception Services Manage the reception area and patient enquiries. Handle telephone, WhatsApp and email enquiries. Schedule and manage patient appointments. Coordinate practitioner diaries and appointment schedules. Manage appointment confirmations, cancellations and follow-ups. Liaise with patients and families regarding appointments and practice-related queries. Liaise with psychologists, psychometrists, psychiatrists and relevant healthcare professionals. Assist in ensuring an efficient and supportive patient experience.  Practice Administration Maintain accurate patient records and electronic files. Capture and update patient information on the practice management system. Prepare and process practice documentation. Assist with invoicing, payments and basic accounts administration. Assist with medical aid-related administration where applicable. Manage correspondence and general office administration. Maintain organised filing systems and databases. Monitor outstanding administrative requirements and follow up where necessary. Practice Support Provide administrative support to psychologists and psychometrists. Assist with the scheduling and coordination of psychological and psychometric assessments. Prepare documentation and information required for appointments and assessments. Assist with coordinating reports and other practice documentation. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient, psychological and psychometric information. Handle sensitive patient information with appropriate discretion. Follow practice procedures relating to patient administration and confidentiality.  Requirements: Matric (Grade 12) Previous experience working as a Medical Receptionist - Essential. Experience using Elixir Live - Essential. Strong administrative and organisational skills. Good telephone, written and verbal communication skills. Computer literate and confident using Microsoft Office, email and electronic practice systems.   Advantageous: Experience working alongside psychologists, psychometrists or psychiatrists. Medical aid administration and\/or billing experience. Practice management experience. Experience with confidential patient documentation and records.  Key Skills: Administration and organisation.
