SUMMARY:
Company based in Germiston Gauteng is looking to hire a skilled Machine Shop Foreman to ensure that the production in the Machine shop is running efficiently by maintaining and improving the company's current systems.

POSITION INFO:
Duties

Managing Machine shop daily OEE.
Managing available manpower.
Managing Industrial relations within the machine shop.
Working with maintenance to eliminate down time in Machine shop.
Ensuring everyone complies to health and safety regulations in Machine shop
Working with Programmer to Continuously improve cycle times.
Weekly ERS submissions
Chairing and managing Daily MBU meeting
Attending and updating Weekly production meetings
Ensuring relevant operator training is conducted
Doing 5Y investigations on scrap produced (drive to reduce scrap)
Managing tooling in machine shop (controlling cost)
Controlling machine cutting Fluids (coolant)

Minimum requirements

Matric certificate
Production management diploma/qualification will be an advantage.
Organisational skills (office and factory)
Strong supervisory skills
Mastercam CAD CAM experience essential.
Computer literate and skilled
Microsoft office essential
Trade test (beneficial)
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
