JOB DESCRIPTION:

Well-established timber manufacturer seeks to employ an Artisan with sound mechanical and electrical maintenance experience to take responsibility for the maintenance of their machinery. Bellville based.

For the position you would be required to have:

Minimum of 8 years maintenance experience [wood processing equipment (saws, finger joint machines, moulders) would be a definite advantage]
Qualified Artisan (Fitter & Turner/ Millwright - preferred)
Experience with both Mechanical and Electrical maintenance

Responsibilities would include you to:

Attend to breakdowns,
Establish and implement preventative maintenance schedules
Do preventative maintenance
Re-conditioning old machines
Assist machine operators

Get machinery up and running as speedily as possible after breakdowns
Ensure upkeep and maintenance of building

On offer is a salary of around R20k to R30k per month negotiable
