Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a dynamic manufacturing environment based in Stellenbosch. This role is ideal for a hands-on individual with strong fault-finding and preventative maintenance skills, particularly within an industrial setting.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Installation & Maintenance

Install and maintain electrical systems, control panels, and distribution components
Troubleshoot and repair faults, ensuring minimal downtime
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance

Machine & Equipment Maintenance

Perform scheduled maintenance on machines and equipment
Respond to breakdowns and carry out repairs efficiently
Source and install spares in line with operational needs
Maintain statutory registers and liaise with service providers

Building & Grounds Maintenance

Maintain buildings and infrastructure to required standards
Complete basic electrical and plumbing tasks as needed

ð Quality & Compliance

Adhere to quality management systems and GMP protocols
Ensure equipment and workspace comply with safety standards

Health, Safety & Housekeeping

Enforce safe working practices and compliance with health and safety policies
Participate in HACCP and health & safety committee activities
Maintain a clean and organised work environment

Requirements:

Trade Test Certificate – Electrician
Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial electrical systems and maintenance
Valid Driver’s Licence
Physically fit and able to work shifts and heights
Available for standby duty (1 week in every 3)
Good communication, problem-solving, and planning skills
Understanding of HACCP and ISO systems is beneficial

Key Competencies:

Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability
Working knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards
High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Comfortable working both independently and within a team
