JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Operations Manager our client is seeking a qualified engineer who is not afraid to get their hands dirty and work unsupervised. You will be managing instrument technicians, Engineers in training and artisans.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

You must be prepared to travel by road and air on occasion to other branches and other off-site meetings.

Essential Qualifications. Skills & Experience:
• BSc. Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Degree essential
• Government Certificate of Competency [GCC] as per the OHSA essential
• 4 years of post-graduation experience in a manufacturing environment essential
• 4 years of hydrocarbon or chemical processing plant experience is an added advantage
• Own reliable transport

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Appointed as the GMR2.1 in terms of OHSA
• Operated machinery processes in the optimal state resulting in minimum downtime, cost-effectiveness and compliance with legal requirements
• Reliability centred maintenance program experience
• Employee management, including disciplinary hearings, experience
• Report writing abilities
• Knowledge of the various inspection registers and scheduling of statutory testing
• Environmental management system [EMS] experience
• Administration. E.g., Filing, purchasing of consumables
