Maintenance Manager

POSITION INFO:

Our Client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager, position is based close to Witbank, Mpumalanga

Purpose of the position:

To ensure responsibility of the maximum efficient operations of Equipment and Machinery as well as the care of plant and support Equipment, through the direction of a Technical Support team. Ensure effective Maintenance Management and direction. Implement and manage the operations asset management strategy in support of the Business Plan.

Qualifications, Expertise and Skills required:

Degree/BTECH in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or similar together with an Engineers Government Certificate of Competency for Mines and Works (GCC)
Professional Registration at ECSA as a Professional Certified Engineer is essential.
Postgraduate Degree - MDP or MBA is an added advantage.
Qualified Artisan would be advantageous

Experience:

8 years relevant experience in Maintenance and Production in Operations of which 8 years in Opencast Mining, understanding the nature of opportunities and issues faced by Operations and at least 3 years in a Managerial Capacity.
Experience needs to include Maintenance practises, Physical asset Management best practise, Maintenance Audits and entrenchment of long term asset Management Strategies, Engineering Design and Principles, Mining beneficiation and Plant Equipment knowledge, Project execution and Management, Managing team of Technical experts.
Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Control Training (HIRAC)
Knowledge of PRAGMA and or SAP

Permanent Position

Salary to offer: R1.5M - R1.8M - Negotiable depending on experience.
