Our client in the Rustenburg area is looking for a Maintenance Manager

Job description
 Sharing the concept with the people involved.
o Having a job description for each member of the team.

• Admin.
• Spares controller.
• Electronics.
• Electrician.
• Fitters.
• Welders.
  
  

o Meeting schedule to cover all CSF’s.
o Using the JD as the Agenda for the meeting and noting next steps per CSF.
o Measure where possible.
o Draw participants’ attention to the link between the cosmic truths and our small endeavors.


 We must design, be interested in new technologies, and think Throughput, in relation to each other.
o We must design improvements wherever the bottleneck is and in anticipation of failures and future bottlenecks'' We must evaluate the solution proposed before implementing and must pass the hurdle of commercially sound concepts.
o We should read appropriate literature, visit trade shows, and be mindful of
encouraging suppliers to share new technologies with us.
o In all thinking and evaluation on changes and enhancements, we should be aiming
for the most effective and reliable throughput possible.

Skilled people all the time.
o Have the right people in the team with appropriate skills and influence.
o Have appropriate skills on site or available to address scheduled maintenance and
breakdowns.
o Give two reviews per year in February and August.
o Provide training where appropriate.
o Expect the best.


Standards.
o Everything must have standards.
o Work procedure standards.
o Engineering standards.

Tools.
o There must be the right tools and they must be controlled and managed strictly.
o Tolls must be available when required.

Spares.
o There must be a policy based on sound commercial reasoning and on the
practicalities of spares availability.
o There must be documented processes and procedures that are implemented and
sound and ensure that spares are managed in terms of the policy above.


Administration and reporting.
o There must be records of all equipment serviced and repaired.
o There must be adherence to the budget.
o There must be appropriate reports to highlight the effectiveness of maintenance including:

• Downtime
• TP improvements
• Plant availability
• staff
• Performance vs. budget
