Maintenance Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client in Rustenburg is recruiting for a Maintenance Manager 

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS 

• Matric certificate
• Certificate, degree or diploma or other appropriate credentials related to construction and facilities management
• Qualified and evidenced experience in construction, facilities management and maintenance

• A minimum of 3 years in facilities maintenance
• A minimum of 3 years of construction experience
• A minimum of 3 years of project management or similar related experience
• Management experience within a multi-national environment
• Previous experience working in the educational sector advantageous
• Knowledge of local South African laws and practices required
•  An understanding of, and insight into, the BCEA, LRA and OHS Acts, with the ability to apply the required principles

• Manage existing daily preventative and routine maintenance of building and appropriate plant
• Responsible for the ongoing improvement, and continued development, of our Strategic Facilities Maintenance Plan.
• Responsible for management of all construction on both campuses, and continued renovation of spaces according to
• our strategic plans.
• Liaise and collaborate with all role players internally and externally on maintenance, renovation and construction
• projects throughout the year, and over the winter
• Be accountable for capex and opex budgets defined for maintenance renovations and construction
• Liaise with the Director of Operations and the School Director on all maintenance renovations and construction
• projects
• Liaise with local / international architects, quantity surveyors and various consultants on construction and renovation
• projects.
• Be available and willing to work overtime when required
• Plan and supervise required maintenance, including the winter maintenance program
