SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a hands-on and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead and manage a skilled team responsible for the upkeep of multiple buildings and grounds. This role requires strong leadership, technical know-how, and the ability to ensure all maintenance work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise, coordinate, and support a multi-disciplinary maintenance team (electricians, plumbers, painters, and handymen).
Oversee both planned and reactive maintenance tasks across all sites.
Communicate progress and updates to management, residents, contractors, and service providers.
Monitor and inspect work delivered by the team and external service providers.
Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
Manage scheduling, standby duties, and daily team meetings.
Contribute to maintenance planning, budgeting, and stock control.

Requirements:

Trade qualification (NQF6) or equivalent (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, building).
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of OHS legislation and safe working practices.
Effective communication skills in both Afrikaans and English (spoken and written).
Computer literacy (MS Office; ability to learn internal maintenance systems).
Physically fit and able to move easily across multiple sites.
Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
