Management Accountant

SUMMARY:
SydSen Recruit is seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant for a growing agribusiness based in George. This role is key to the financial planning and analysis function and supports operational teams with data-driven insights and sound financial governance.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Develop and manage costing models and pricing strategies.
• Provide scenario analysis and financial decision support to improve performance.
• Identify and drive margin enhancement opportunities in collaboration with operational teams.

• Serve as the key financial contact for operations, providing clear, actionable insights.
• Support non-financial managers in interpreting budgets, forecasts, and cost structures.
• Conduct regular financial reviews with operational teams to enhance accountability.
• Facilitate process improvements in inventory control, cost efficiency, and profitability tracking.

• Ensure strong financial controls and governance are in place.
• Maintain accurate financial reporting and adherence to internal compliance standards.
• Support audit readiness and manage financial risk processes.
• Oversee and improve deposit management and changes to operational orders.

Candidate Requirements

• BCom degree with SAIPA/CIMA/AGA/ACMA/CGMA accreditation.
• Minimum 7 years’ relevant FP&A and business partnering experience.
• Advanced Excel skills; confident working with large datasets.
• Strong communication, initiative, and attention to detail.
• Experience in agriculture, ERP systems (Business Central 365), or Paltrack is advantageous.
