SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

Financial reporting including management accounts and sales report analysis

Submits management accounts to the GM and MD

Ensure accuracy of month end reporting by processing of accruals, provisions etc

Ensure completeness and accuracy of accounts payable and related expenses

Oversee and monitor the debt collection

Prepare and manage monthly reconciliation of accounts, transactions, inventory and sales; and signs-off

Control & co-ordination of monthly stock counts & in-depth investigation and explanation of variances that may arise

Create and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Financial and cash-flow planning and advise on best-practice

Analyse monthly performance management against budgets and last year actuals

Prepares an exceptions report where necessary

Prepares tax returns (direct and indirect) and ensures the correct submission of Income tax, provisional tax, VAT, Import tax etc

Preparation and submission of various statutory returns i.e., UIF deductions, workman’s compensation, BBEEE and CPIC annual returns

Liaises with banks and/or other facilities and prepares fund requests in consultation

Manages the relationship with external parties (Banking/Auditors)

Staff management

Qualification:

Relevant accounting degree non-negotiable

CIMA advantageous
