🧭 Key Responsibilities
Overall Lodge & Business Management

• Lead, motivate, train and manage all staff, fostering a positive, professional working environment
• Oversee daily lodge operations including housekeeping, kitchen, maintenance, food & beverage, front of house and administration
• Ensure exceptional guest experiences through high service standards, personalised hosting and professional guest engagement
• Handle guest requests, complaints and operational challenges with creativity, professionalism and efficiency
• Develop, implement and monitor operational systems, procedures and service standards
• Oversee reservations, inventory control, procurement and supplier management
• Monitor lodge budgets, revenue, expenses, invoicing and financial reporting
• Prepare operational reports, forecasts and management updates
• Maintain strict confidentiality and professional discretion at all times
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards and operational procedures
• Uphold the lodge’s values of integrity, honesty, commitment, dedication and reliability

• Lead and conduct guided safari activities, delivering engaging, educational and safe wildlife experiences
• Serve as the key link between guests and the natural environment
• Manage guest dynamics, expectations and safety at all times
• Provide in-depth interpretation of wildlife, flora, fauna, geology, history and local culture
• Proactively assess risks and ensure all guiding activities meet safety standards
• Mentor and support guiding team where required
• Maintain professional standards of conduct, time management and guest care

• High degree of professionalism, integrity, reliability and emotional intelligence

• Solid financial literacy including revenue management, expense tracking and budgeting
• Experience with procurement processes, invoicing and reporting
• Computer literate with strong working knowledge of MS Office
• Experience with reservations systems, POS and lodge communication platforms

• Proven experience in lodge or hospitality operations management
• Ability to develop and manage operational and project plans
• Exceptional attention to detail across operations, reservations, inventory and service delivery
• Effective delegation skills and the ability to empower and develop staff
• Diploma in Hospitality Management (advantageous)

• Valid PDP & Driver’s Licence
• First Aid Level 1
• FGASA Level 1 (Level 2 advantageous)
• Snake Handling Certificate
