Manager – Operations & Finance
Based in Pomona Kempton Park

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements:
Experience:
- Retail or FMCG audit experience is preferred
- 3-5 years senior management

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Provide organization-wide leadership, input into strategy, and the management of the operations and finance of the branch.
- Work closely with top management and directors to continually refine and implement the strategic plan of the organization, as well as the more immediate annual performance plan.
- To plan, direct and coordinate the operations of the organization, and improve the performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability of organizational operations.
- Guiding and directing all staff in the implementation of their duties.
- Establishing and meeting operational targets consistently, and making operational adjustments to meet set targets.
- Establishing policies and guidelines for operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure the branch’s Health & Safety compliance
- Providing guidelines and oversight in preparation of strategic projects/initiatives understandings, schedules, budgets, and negotiations with current and potential stakeholders.
- Monitor performance and implement improvements.
- Plan the use of human resources.
- Ensuring that quality processes are in place guiding staff on all due processes to be followed. Ensure the branch is Food Safety compliant. Responsible for Kosher and Halaal re-certification.
- Responsible for effective and efficient supply management (i.e. by populating forecasts etc for the procurement team)
- Management of stock. Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts. Send through stock holding to the management team on a Monday, Wednesday & Friday.
- Accurate and timeous reporting.
- Review financial statements and data, utilizing financial data to improve profitability.
- Prepare and control operational budgets.
- Create savings opportunities for the organization and member institutions.
- Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals.
- Formulate and implement organizational policies and procedures to maximize output.
- Monitor adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Management of Debtors
- Petty Cash
- Ensure all accounts are reconciled accurately
- Cope with a high workload.
