JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client has an opportunity available for a Manager of Company Compliance.

Requirements:

Have an NQF level 7 degree in LLB- a degree in LLM would be advantageous.
3 years’ experience in a Legal Law Firm- experience in a Compliance related function would be advantageous.
10 years’ experience as a Corporate Legal Advisor.
Have experience working with government-regulated entities.
Strong legal experience in corporate and commercial matters.

Responsibilities:

Providing advice to the board on compliance matters as well through collaborating with Line Manager and Team.
Legislation monitoring and tracking.
Ensure the new legislation is incorporated into the regulatory compliance framework processes.
Customer and stakeholder management.
Engage internal customers and stakeholders on services and deliveries related to development controls.
Cost control and budget management.
Determine project forecast for the year ahead and provide annual input into CAPEX /OPEX business plan/budgets.
Compliance framework management.
Identify legislative and governance compliance obligations that are relevant to the company to ensure license to operate is secure.
Legislative compliance reporting.
Identify companywide compliance processes and controls to assist the business with legislative and governance compliance.
Compliance awareness and education.
Develop and roll out compliance training initiatives to ensure business empowerment to support the framework requirements.
