A leading global professional services firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Credit Risk Impairments Manager to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the impairment process, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards, and contributing to strategic risk management initiatives.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:
Impairment Assessment: Lead the evaluation and determination of credit impairments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS 9 and other relevant accounting standards
Portfolio Monitoring: Regularly review and monitor credit portfolios to identify potential impairments, assessing factors such as creditworthiness, collateral, and economic conditions
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare detailed impairment reports and analyses for senior management, highlighting key risk areas and providing actionable insights
Policy Development: Collaborate in the development and refinement of credit risk policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including credit risk, finance, and audit teams, to ensure cohesive risk management strategies
Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure that impairment processes and reporting are in full compliance with applicable laws and standards

Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit risk, impairment assessment, or related roles within financial services
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
In-depth knowledge of IFRS 9 and other relevant financial reporting standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior stakeholders

Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent are advantageous.
