JOB SUMMARY:
One of South Africa's Banking Giants is looking for a Manager: Decision Science to ensure the objectives, plans, processes, and standards within Client Experience Delivery teams function align with those of Credit Decision Science and Credit Management as a whole.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Performance Areas:

Provide expert input to underpin strategic and effective credit decision management
Delivery of data and analytics to support the operational management of the Credit function
Relationship and stakeholder management to facilitate, drive and deliver effective credit decision support
People Management
Reporting

Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
Minimum:

Honours Degree in Data Science / Informatics / Analytics / Risk Management (i.e., B. Comm (Statistics), B. Informatics)

Ideal:

Masters Degree in Data Science / Informatics / Analytics / Risk Management (i.e., B. Comm (Statistics), B. Informatics)

Knowledge & Experience:
Minimum Knowledge:

Analytics
Project management methodologies
IT implementation cycle
Credit cycle
Technical understanding and knowledge of different operating systems / databases / programming languages
General business acumen to identify the impact technical issues may have on design and delivery of solutions.
Best practices and tools in credit risk
Interpretation of user requirements and translation into business requirements specifications
Retail credit environment / industry
Confidentiality and intellectual property implications and constraints
Interpretation of user requirements
Translation of business requirements into business requirement specifications
HR Management policy and procedure
People management skills and techniques

Minimum Experience:

Minimum 5 years credit risk analytics environment experience
Minimum 2 years management experience including.
- People management
- Project management experience
Extraction and aggregation of data from large relational databases
Data science and predictive modelling

Ideal:
Experience:

5+ years’ credit risk analytics environment experience
Credit Retail
Relationship and stakeholder management
Machine learning.
