JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Early Stage Collections Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of higher income clients within business and retail banking. This role provides exposure across all retail products.

Key activities include:

Give an overview of the book by preparing portfolio review presentations based on Management Information Systems (MIS).
Build strong relationships with Relationship Manager counterparts to achieve reduction in impairment charge for the segment while maintaining strong client relations.
Implement sound credit risk management for complex collections.
Develop client exit or rehabilitation strategies by conducting annual review of client facilities.

Qualifications and Experience:

Relevant commercial/ financial/ credit Degree or Diploma
3- 5 years experience in banking collections environment within middle market segments
Exposure to multiple products e.g. Home Loans, Vehicle Finance, Personal Loans and Current Account

This role will suit a collections professional who is technically sound in credit risk, collections and retail bank products for the middle income market. A professional who has a solid foundation in collections, able to engage with professional level customers will make a good impression on the interview panel.
