Manager, Employment Equity

SUMMARY:
To achieve equity in workplace by promoting equal opportunity and fair treatment in employment through elimination of unfair discrimination and implementing affirmative action measures to redress the disadvantaged in employment

POSITION INFO:

• HR / Industrial Psychology Degree

• 5 years Corporate working experience

• 4 years HR working experience in a Generalist or Specialist role and

• 4 years’ experience working in an Employment Equity role

• Expert knowledge and application of the B-BBEE Act, B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice, and related legislation

• Experience with the FS codes will be advantageous Knowledge and skills

• Thorough technical knowledge of employment equity legislation and its Codes of Good Practice

• Understand the LRA, BCEA, SDA and SDLA legislation

• Compilation of business employment equity targets and reports

• Strong analytical ability: comfortable with metrics and able to drive others towards data driven decisions

• Project or program management experience

• Strong IT literacy with good MS Excel, MS Word and MS Power Point skills

• Strong exposure to systems and reporting • Proven team player with leadership skills including the ability to coach and energise others

• Strong interpersonal skills to support senior decision-makers from different parts of the business whilst providing strong control support where necessary.

• Critical thinking and good analytical skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong and experienced  individual, must be from private sector and have financial services experience
