Position Overview:

A remarkable financial services concern located in Pretoria has an exciting position available for a Manager of Governance and Monitoring Services, in their Group Security Management Department.

The main purpose of this position is to manage the overall security monitoring, governance, and compliance assessment programme for Group Security in the Group Security Management Department (GSMD) of the cmpany.

The individual is expected to manage a number of discrete disciplines aimed at ensuring the identification, management, and resolution of group security risk. The job requires a high degree of cross functional collaboration and functional conflict resolution across the group, as well as professional engagement at all levels of the organisation.

To be considered for this position, one must have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Security, Security Risk Management (NQF 7) or an equivalent qualification.
• A demonstrated capability to process complex security risk information and effectively produce written and verbal products at an advanced level of proficiency is required.
• 10 Years’ working experience in security, compliance, and security risk management (preferably with experience in the financial services and cash management sector)
• At least five years’ experience in a management capacity.
• A sound working knowledge of security investigations and relevant legislation (Experience with both criminal and corporate investigations would be advantageous)
• A strong grounding in modern security technology, standards and practises, including leading physical security platforms, systems and emerging technology is important; a similar grounding convergence and in cyber risk management processes would be highly desirable.
• Project management experience
• Advanced report writing and product quality management
• Ability to manage diverse teams and manage relationships with highly diverse business groupings and client interests
• Ability to manage both strategic interaction as well as operational/technical processes
