SUMMARY:
Responsible for leading the Supply Chain function in line with the organisational goals.

POSITION INFO:

Duties & Responsibilities

Develop and implement a robust supply chain management (SCM) Framework and strategy aligned with the company strategic objectives.
Develop supporting operational plans for the supply chain management Unit to ensure successful execution of the company strategic objectives.
Development and implement a Local Supplier Development Programme (short term and long term).
Manage end-to-end supply chain management processes and ensure compliance with related legal and regulatory requirements.
Identify and manage supply chain management associated risks and ensure adherence to governance and compliance standards across all SCM activities.
Support the Head of Finance in identifying opportunities for process optimization, cost efficiency and risk mitigation in the supply chain function.
Build and maintain strong relationships in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to enhance supply chain performance.
Maintain and document all supply chain management records, including procurement data, risk management plans, spending reports and stakeholder management information.
Provide leadership to the supply chain management team and foster a culture of excellence and accountability.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Honours Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent (NQF Level 8)
A certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CIPS / CSCP / CPSM)
At least ten (10) years’ experience in Supply Chain Management (SCM) of which three (3) years must be at Senior management level in Social and Community Development projects environment or similar
Must have a valid driver’s license with own vehicle.
Previous experience in Infrastructure and Construction related projects.
Experience in procurement systems and integration into the overall procure-to-pay related systems
