SUMMARY:

The main purpose of this position:

 
To liaise with Medical Aids administrators and list company products, and to cover Key corporate/group clients in generic business
 
To establish key contacts with the ability to present Scientific based outcomes of the company’s products from all the therapies being marketed
 
To analyse company sales data and enhance key relationships with a view to mobilizing growth strategies

POSITION INFO:

Duties & Responsibilities include:

(But are not limited to)
 
Negotiates on product listings, promotions, prices and performance reviews with key customers/major accounts and medical aid schemes
Liaise and negotiate with all major medical aid companies and list company products with these entities
Builds strategic relationships with key customers to ensure sustainable and profitable sales growth
Develops and delivers on sales plans, ensuring profitable growth through core business and new business opportunities
Negotiates on product listings, promotions, prices and performance reviews with key customers/major accounts
Provides interactive service between doctors, patients and funders
Monitors evaluates and disseminates knowledge and information on significant medical schemes and strategies in partnership with Medical Affairs and Market Access
Supporting and understanding the market and our analytics with a view to leveraging growth strategies and tactical business plans
Driving a collaborative approach with Marketing and relevant Business Units in order for the effective development of a synergized key account plan
Ensuring a strategic market share objective is derived in marketing with a Corporate Account view
Together with the Marketing Team – Initiate all internal Corporate Sales Trainings and facilitate the sessions to ensure the correct knowledge and focus is disseminated
Willing to travel as per business requirements, with overnight stays where ever applicable
Responsibility and knowledge of State tender process and Privet hospitals formulary processes
Marketing support as required – collaborative working initiatives
 

Requirements:
 
Experience with Medical Schemes will be advantageous
Degree in the appropriate science field
Must have 3-5 years pharmaceutical industry in the relevant field experience at management/professional level Health Science Degree with an in-depth understanding of pricing and outcomes within the structure of the medical aid
Full knowledge and experience in Market Access/managed Healthcare essential Cross functionality and project management skills
Must have 2 years’ experience within the management of the Medical aid / Key Accounts area coupled with 2 years under management role in sales experience

Knowledge of various systems within medical aids schemes is essential – and knowledge for completion of listing forms, presentation abilities to various committees and Doctors where ever required.
