Market Economist / Demand Modelling Specialist

12–24 Month Contract | Project-Based Appointment

We are looking for an experienced Market Economist / Demand Modelling Specialist to provide economic and market analysis supporting a major logistics infrastructure project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding current and future market demand, assessing potential users of logistics infrastructure and developing robust demand forecasts and models.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Conduct market assessments and economic analysis relating to logistics infrastructure. Develop demand forecasts and market demand models. Analyse market segmentation and potential customer\/user groups. Conduct willingness-to-pay analysis. Assess current and future demand within the logistics and freight sectors. Identify market trends, growth opportunities and demand drivers. Provide economic inputs into business cases, feasibility studies and investment decisions. Translate complex economic and market data into practical project recommendations. Minimum Requirements Master's degree in Economics or a related field . Minimum 8 years' relevant experience . Strong experience in market assessments and demand forecasting . Proven experience in demand modelling and market segmentation . Experience conducting willingness-to-pay analysis . Strong understanding of logistics sector demand and freight markets . Excellent analytical and report-writing capabilities.
