POSITION INFO:
Our client, a highly regarded advisory and professional services organisation, is seeking a Market Risk Senior Manager to join their Financial Risk Management team. The successful candidate will lead market risk engagements across the financial services sector, providing specialist advice on risk measurement, regulatory compliance, derivative valuation, capital markets, and quantitative risk management. This role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders while providing opportunities to contribute to business growth, thought leadership, and team development. Key Responsibilities: Lead market risk advisory engagements for financial services clients Deliver analysis and reporting related to market risk, counterparty credit risk, liquidity risk, and interest rate risk Evaluate and enhance risk management frameworks, policies, and controls Support quantitative risk projects covering foreign exchange, interest rate, credit, and commodity risks Provide specialist expertise in derivative valuation and quantitative modelling Engage with senior stakeholders to deliver practical and commercially focused risk solutions Lead project teams and ensure successful engagement delivery Contribute to business development initiatives, proposals, and client presentations Support research initiatives and provide insights on emerging market and regulatory developments Mentor and develop junior team members Job Experience and Skills Required: Education: Degree in Finance, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline Advanced or professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, CA(SA), or equivalent advantageous Experience: Minimum 7 years' experience within Market Risk, Financial Risk Management, Banking, Financial Services, or Consulting Strong exposure to capital markets, trading environments, and risk management frameworks Experience with quantitative risk analysis, derivative valuation, and regulatory reporting Proven project management and stakeholder engagement experience Skills: Strong understanding of market risk, liquidity risk, and counterparty credit risk Knowledge of derivative valuation methodologies and quantitative modelling techniques Understanding of capital markets, trading operations, and financial instruments Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Ability to lead projects and manage multidisciplinary teams Strong business development and client relationship management skills Apply now!
