Our client in Bellville, Cape Town is Hiring!  KGA Life is a boutique life insurer operating in South Africa's mass market — serving families through a network of funeral parlours, brokers, and employer groups. They are a small, ambitious team building something meaningful in an industry that touches people at the most difficult moments of their lives.
 
They are looking for a Marketing & Brand Manager who is equal parts creative thinker and hands-on operator. This is not a social media role, a content role, or a communications role. This is a traditional marketing role — one that requires you to understand our clients deeply, show up in person across the country, and bring our brand to life in the real world.

Please note: This is a full-time, office-based position located at KGA Life's offices in Tyger Waterfront, Bellville (Northern Suburbs, Cape Town). The successful candidate will be expected to work from the office on a daily basis and travel nationally as required for events, partner engagements, industry conferences, roadshows, and other business activities.

POSITION INFO:
Description: You will be KGA Life's entire marketing function. There is no agency, no design team, and no marketing department to hand work to. You plan, create, execute, and own every output - from annual strategy through to the setup and breakdown of a roadshow stand. You will represent our brand at events across South Africa, produce your own creative materials using AI-powered design tools, build relationships with our distribution partners, and bring a commercially minded approach to everything you do. You will report directly to senior leadership and operate with full autonomy. This is not a role for someone who needs a team around them. You will own your outputs completely. Responsibilities: Plan and execute KGA Life's marketing calendar - events, campaigns, partner activations, and industry presence. Attend and manage events across South Africa on behalf of the company, representing the KGA Life brand with professionalism and energy. Run events end to end: conceptualisation, logistics, supplier management, on-the-day execution, and post-event reporting. Produce all marketing creative in-house - brand collateral, event materials, digital assets, presentations, and campaign visuals - using AI-powered design tools. No outsourcing of creative work. Develop marketing materials and campaigns that speak directly to our clients - funeral parlours, brokers, and the families they serve. Get to know the funeral insurance industry from the inside out - attend industry events, build relationships with partners, and stay current on what our clients want. Develop a deep understanding of our client base and translate that insight into marketing that resonates and converts. Manage marketing budgets and project timelines with precision - there is no one else to pick up the slack. Collaborate with leadership on brand strategy and bring your own ideas to the table. Requirements: Relevant degree or diploma in Marketing, Brand Management, or equivalent. 3 years of marketing experience, with demonstrable events experience being non-negotiable. Proven track record of running events independently, from brief to breakdown. Demonstrable proficiency in AI-powered design and content tools - this is a requirement, not a nice-to-have.
