SUMMARY:
An established manufacturer of specialised agrochemicals requires an experienced Marketing Manager to identify new opportunities, conduct gap analysis, manage product launches and provide training for agents and farmers on the plant nutrition and bio-stimulant product range, within the Northern-, Western- and Eastern Cape regions.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

Must have a relevant tertiary qualification
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in agronomy, crop protection an plant nutrition will be required
Must have gained knowledge in speciality plant nutrition and biological products
Excellent computer, communication and management skills are essential
Must be pro-active and a self-starter, adding value from inception

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Contributing to training programs and product presentations of sales teams, distributors and agents.
Contributing to demonstration trials plans and driving trial implementation in the region.
Collecting and presenting data from demonstration trials.
Ensuring key account approach development - customer data base with key promotion activities.
Managing commercial trial work on all new bio-stimulants biological remedies and specialist nutrition.
Contributing to agent service and technical support.
Utilising relevant commercial and /or demonstration trial locations as marketing/demo days.
Ensure up to date knowledge of the markets and submarkets.
Developing portfolio positioning strategies and continuous improvement initiatives in terms of value proposition statement.
Managing product training presentations and promotion materials.
Planning and executing product launches in the region.
Identifying and suggesting new market opportunities.
Contributing to product pricing strategy, including competitive analysis and differentiation.

Salary package is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
