Marketing Executive/Digital Marketing
POSITION INFO:
Sandton
An expert in Traditional and Digital Marketing and external communications with experience including media, events, social media and technology for Fashion & Beauty.
The ideal candidate is dynamic, enthusiastic and is supported by diverse skills set in traditional and digital marketing, brand management, communications, PR and events.
A welcome advantage would be experience in producing and supporting a range of fundraising and corporate events, conferences, exhibitions. The candidate must have extensive experience in FMCG clothing, home products, beauty or something similar type experience
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in same position

Key responsibilities:
- Create, implement and be accountable for the company’s marketing strategy, working closely with the HODs and the sales team.
- Provide full marketing and digital strategy, planning and implementation service.
- Develop innovative ideas in line with the business strategy that express the company''s vision and story.
- Project management including idea development, sourcing and formulating copy, selecting images, layout, proofing and print management.
- Manage marketing projects whilst working cross-functionally with the team (Heads of Department through to junior members).
- Be a positive motivating and inspiring team player and mentor to junior members.
Strategy
- Undertake, critically analyze and react to market research to identify and implement tactical marketing initiatives in response to market circumstances.
Marketing
- Manage the day-to-day strategic marketing, including traditional and Digital channels
Brand Management
- Ensure AFI’s values and brand DNA are maintained in all marketing communications, both internal and external.
- Generate content strategies to increase brand engagement and build customer relationships.
Social media / website
- Manage the development and maintenance of the company’s website.
- Lead on managing generated content using digital communications and social media to meet B2B and B2C business objectives.
- Manage and when needed, write curated content for social media, websites, brochures, ads, and magazines.
Budget
- Manage and be accountable for the agreed marketing budget
- Networking and Customer Relations
- Identify and create PR opportunities to maximize media coverage.
- Attend networking opportunities.
- Contribute to maintaining the reputation of AFI by managing relationships with key stakeholders.
Proposals
- Provide support to the sponsorship team
- Write and manage the production of marketing material, including sponsorship proposals.
- Present high-quality and focused proposals with HODs to potential sponsorship partners.
