Well-established manufacturer is looking to employ a suitable experienced and qualified Marketing Manager to be based at their Head Office in Pietermaritzburg.

You will lead and implement the company’s local and international marketing strategy, manage brand positioning, market development and customer engagement locally and internationally.

For the position you would be required to have:

• B Degree in marketing, business management or related field
• B. Sc in Chemistry / Agricultural Sciences, and or a qualification in Leather Technology / Water Treatment would be a distinct advantage.
• 5 years of working experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of international marketing strategies and cross-cultural communication.
• Experience in market research, campaign management, and trade fair participation.
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in water treatment, mining, agricultural or the leather tanning industry.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft 365 Suite.
• Valid passport, unendorsed driver’s license
• Willing to travel locally and internationally

Responsibilities would include you to:

• Develop, implement, and manage marketing strategies to drive growth in local and international markets.
• Assume accountability for the company print, online presence and social media marketing strategies.
• Build, maintain and strengthen agent/customer relationships in the various sectors that include and is not limited to leather market, water treatment sector, adhesives market, agricultural and mining sectors.
• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, agent/customer needs, and competitive trends across targeted regions.
• Collaborate and manage marketing objectives of the company with agents, customers, and partners in local and international markets.
• Plan, coordinate, and attend local and international trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry networking events.
• Develop, maintain and improve on pricing strategies
• Facilitate product trials with agents/customers.

Package consists of a basic salary of around R850k per annum PLUS travel allowance, annual bonus, pension, medical aid.
