Marketing Manager- Pietermaritzburg

POSITION INFO:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Marketing Manager to join a dynamic team, based with a well-established international brand at their Pietermaritzburg offices.

The role will entail developing the local strategic marketing plan as well as managing the production and distribution of all marketing and sales support material. Key for this position will be the maintenance of all digital media (e-business solutions, websites etc.) for all group brands in South Africa and Africa, as well as Middle East support. The Marketing Manager will oversee the marketing team and work closely with management to exceed targets whilst building successful relationships through exceptional communications.

Requirements:

• A relevant qualification (degree-level preferred);
• At least 5 years of experience in Marketing at management level;
• Exposure to international markets and communication a bonus;
• Strong creative abilities coupled with a strategic and analytical approach;
• Proven digital media management experience including eCommerce (Shopify preferred);
• Able to effectively negotiate positive rates with service contractors and print media houses;
• High level of competency in Microsoft Office and a strong understanding of IT systems and applications;
• Superior written and oral communication skills;
• Good customer and staff relationship management skills;
• Pro-active, responsive and able to meet deadlines and deliver results with passion and a sense of urgency;
• Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail;
• Flexible work schedule and a willingness to travel (national and international) as and when required;
• Own transport;
• Active contributor to positive team culture.
