SUMMARY:
Our client, an NPO, operating in the arts and music industry in KZN, requires a Marketing & Communications Co-ordinator with a passion for arts, culture and artist development to join their dynamic team. This role plays a key part in increasing visibility, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and driving participation across their programmes and creative facilities.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and implement integrated marketing and communications strategies aligned with organisational objectives
Manage and grow the organisational brand across all platforms and touchpoints
Drive awareness and participation in programmes, initiatives, and facilities
Oversee digital platforms, website content, social media, and content creation
Manage public relations and media engagement, including press releases and media coverage
Support fundraising, sponsorship, and donor communications through strategic marketing
Build and maintain relationships with partners, sponsors, media, and the creative community
Prepare high-level marketing and communications reports for management and committees

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

B-degree in Marketing or a related field (Preferred)
Marketing, communications, and brand management experience
Proven digital and social media expertise, with hands-on experience across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
Ability to capture, curate, and publish high-quality content, including managing live social media feeds during key programmes and events
Media relations and public relations experience
Strong project management, analytical, and reporting skills
Valid driver’s licence required
Willingness and ability to travel provincially and nationally, including occasional weekend, night-time, and overnight travel
Experience or familiarity with the creative and cultural sector will be an advantage
