A leading organisation is looking for a highly analytical, detail-driven and experienced Master Data, Risk & Compliance Controller. You will play an important role in protecting data integrity, strengthening internal controls, identifying risks and ensuring that master data processes meet business, regulatory and statutory requirements.

POSITION INFO:
Maintain a strong understanding of master data requirements, standards, governance principles and business rules. Capture, maintain and validate accurate master data within the relevant ERP system. Conduct regular master data audits to identify discrepancies, duplicates, outdated information and potential risks. Maintain comprehensive and verifiable audit trails of master data amendments. Generate, review and analyse exception reports to identify anomalies before they impact business processes or controls. Investigate data-quality issues and implement corrective data clean-up plans. Review and recommend updates to Master Data Manuals in line with legislation, SARS requirements, compliance standards and banking security protocols. Process master data requests in accordance with approved policies, procedures and delegation of authority requirements. Perform appropriate verification through Standard Bank, TransUnion and SARS where required. Resolve master data queries within agreed service level agreements (SLAs). Ensure adherence to internal controls, delegation of authority and applicable statutory requirements. Safeguard confidential and sensitive business and master data information. Identify opportunities to improve data governance, processes and controls. Perform ad hoc duties and projects within the reasonable scope of the role. Qualifications Matric with Mathematics and Accounting. Experience & Technical Requirements Minimum 10 years' experience in a risk, compliance, master data, data governance or related environment. JDE and\/or Syspro experience will be advantageous. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
