SUMMARY:
Mechanical Design Draughtsman_Automotive / Trailer experience required to assist the Engineering Manager with 5 years' relevant experience, AutoCAD, Inventor and preferably Nesting software experience

POSITION INFO:

Requirements;

Experience: 5+ years in 3D mechanical parts and components. Trailer and automotive industry experience is preferential.
Qualifications: Any tertiary draughting qualification. N.Dip in mechanical engineering would be preferred. Candidates without qualifications will be gauged based on their experience and portfolio. The candidates should bring if possible a portfolio of work to the interview.
Software: Microsoft Office (excel, word, outlook), Nesting software, AutoCAD and Inventor. (nesting software may be excluded; all others are important)
Notice period: As per candidate contract.
Interview test: will be conducted on both AutoCAD and Inventor.
Salary: R20 000 to R30 000. Depending on the candidate’s experience.

Responsibilities;

Reports to the Engineering manager.
Convert 2D designs to 3D.
Assist in implementing drawing standards.
Take on complete projects from start to finish.
Assist production and repair departments as needed.
Create nestings for plasma.
Assist with day to day.
Data capturing and filing.
Proper planning and time management. The successful candidate will be expected to function successfully on their own.
Maintain good interdepartmental communication and relations.
Self-motivated and hard working.
