SUMMARY:
One of our clients, based in Germiston, is seeking a Mechanical Draughtsman.

Job Summary
The candidate will be fundamental in creating technical drawings, both hand drawings and computer-aided design (CAD) blueprints for various structures. Their responsibilities include building models, sketches, drawings, and blueprints using 2D and 3D design software.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements

Matric, Preferable – Draughting Qualification
Preferable - 4 - 5 years’ experience within mechanical environment.
Intermediate experience of CAD software and techniques
Preferable good working knowledge of Fluid Power
Driver’s License.
English spoken fluently and written, Afrikaans advantageous.
Microsoft Office.

Key Responsibilities

Familiarise him/herself with the Company’s equipment to effectively utilise all elements in designs.
Produce working drawings to assist with logistical planning and the compilation of equipment lists.
Prepare working drawings of confirmed jobs for the Technicians to provide a visual reference from which to complete the installation.
Produce conceptual drawings/designs as required.
Create and update a library of standard structures drawings.
Develop and maintain an archive of all CAD drawings generated by the other branch.
Create new designs for stages/structures as required.
Design within the parameters of safety regulations.
Keep abreast of the latest CAD technology.
Maintain current working knowledge of structural standards, regulations and current design factors.
Assist management with any other duties as may be required
