On behalf of our client, a leading innovator in the design and manufacturing of specialized heavy machinery, we are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in vehicle systems or earth-moving equipment. POSITION INFO:
About the Role:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and improvement of mechanical systems and components for heavy-duty vehicles or equipment. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, and procurement to deliver robust and innovative solutions from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and detail mechanical designs using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or similar).
Conduct FEA analysis and engineering calculations to validate designs.
Collaborate with electrical, hydraulic, and software teams to ensure system integration.
Support prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting during development phases.
Generate technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
Drive continuous improvement in design processes and product performance.

About You:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (essential).
Proven experience in mechanical design, ideally within vehicle, agricultural, or earth-moving equipment industries.
Proficient in 3D CAD tools and engineering analysis software.
Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturability.
Effective communicator with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
