SUMMARY:

A leading supplier of heavy equipment solutions to the mining, construction, and industrial sectors is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its specialist engineering team.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements BEng Mechanical Engineering 3+ years' mechanical design experience Experience with heavy equipment, mining machinery, mobile equipment, or industrial machinery Proficiency in SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or similar CAD software Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes Duties & Responsibilities Design and develop mechanical components and systems for heavy-duty equipment applications. Produce detailed manufacturing drawings and 3D models. Perform engineering calculations and finite element analysis where required. Develop design modifications to improve equipment performance and reliability. Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and recommend corrective solutions. Liaise with production, procurement, and field service teams. Ensure designs comply with international engineering standards and safety requirements. Review supplier designs and manufactured components. Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities. Investigate opportunities for product improvement and cost reduction. Assist with technical documentation and design change management. Provide engineering support during equipment assembly, commissioning, and field operation. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and performance. Apply now!
