SUMMARY:
I'm urgently looking for the expertise of a well qualified Mechanical Design Engineer with strong background in the design of heavy mobile equipment

POSITION INFO:

Qualification

Matric
BEng (Mech) or Btech Mechanical

Requirements

5 Years experience in the design of heavy mobile equipment
Knowledge of the Materials and Manufacturing process
3D solid modeling CAD packages - Siemens will be advantageous
Good understanding of inventory management
Experience in design of control systems would be an advantage

Duties

Spec and detail design of mechanical and hydraulic systems and components
Integration of such designs into mining equipment
Calculations
Simulations, verification and validation
BOM creation, configuration control of technical documents
Design reviews
Interface with customers regarding design requirements
Purchasing technical support
