POSITION INFO:

Position: Electronic Design Engineer

Location: Centurion

Commercial development at Consulting and Product development company Embedded  The suitable candidate must have strong 3D design skills and ideally be interested in FEA

Mechanical Design engineer required that will be responsible for technical product designs for clients in a variety of Industries. Products related to renewable Industry. Will be involved in design for manufacture and from first principal designs

Qualification and Experienced Required:

• B.Eng. or M. Eng./MSc Mechanical Engineering
• ESSENTIAL : 4 years design experience on Solid Works
• 4-8 years’ experience in product designs
• Skills in sheet metal component product designs and ideally have some skills in Aluminium
• Ability to interpret specifications, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities:

• Detail designs from first principles
• Design changes on existing Products
• Modelling and design of components and systems on component assembly and sub-assemblies
• Generating component and assembly drawings for prototyping
• Engineering design analysis as required on designs
• Design of existing products and suggest improvements
• Plan and control engineering projects (from concept design to Detailed design and prototype to production)
• Investigate the causes of engineering problems, calculate cost effects of modifications
• Generating reports concerning designs that have been analysed
• Generate engineering change proposal as required
• Liaise with other engineers and production/ Manufacturing staff and sub-Contractors
• Take full ownership of all Mechanical design aspects
• The role will eventually lead to a manager of the Mechanical design team
