JOB SUMMARY:
A dynamic company based in Midrand is looking to employ a Mechanical Design Engineer with 5 years’ experience within Mechanical Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning Engineering (HVAC) field.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements

Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent
3-4 years’ industry specific experience within Mechanical Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning Engineering (HVAC) field.
Able to do HVAC design from first principles.
Construction estimating or Finance experience advantageous.
Thorough knowledge of all Mechanical practices, methods, equipment, materials, and tools.
Able to do costing for approval by Project Manager and Engineering Manager based on designs.
Able to read designs and produce and prepare draft designs in accordance with required specifications.
Understanding of Lab Equipment I.e., Biological Safety Cabinets, Fume hoods, Laminar Flows.
Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work at hand.
Problem solving skill.
Knowledge of project management.
Ability to plan and supervise the work the project team in their duties.
Ability to read and interpret plans, sketches, drawings.
Good communication skills: Fluent in English.
Ability to provide verbal and/or written technical instructions.
A team working Player.
Computer Literate (MS Office, Internet etc.).
Valid driver’s licence and passport.
Exceptional in AutoCAD Rivet
