JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Responsibilities:

Design Engineer for robotics and automation.
Design of new equipment, product support & improvement on existing equipment
Complete product / project lifecycle - from conceptualization through design, manufacturing, testing & trailing
Must be willing to do underground visits as required on various sites
Technical assistance to production on valve and power pack related issues
Attend design reviews and discussions
Prototype development and testing
Checking and approval of drawings & materials list generated by staff
Generate and review product documentation
General assistance to production, sales and suppliers on current jobs (part numbers, queries, and costings)

Education:

Matric (Grade 12)
BEng Mechanical Engineering

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Minimum 5 years’ experience
Able to follow instructions & work both in a team and individually
Objective driven & not task orientated
Self-driven and ability to work independently
MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint
CAD, FEA, CFD knowledge would be an advantage
