JOB SUMMARY:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Must have 5 years of CAD 3D (Solidworks or similar 3D) design experience - Design, assembly and drafting of complex assemblies. Knowledge and use of PDM / PLM systems would be advantageous. Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel essential. A tertiary technical qualification would be advantageous.

Key Performance Areas include:

Design of automated machinery using 3D CAD (Solidworks) from conception through to issuing of manufacturing drawings
Attention to detail and the ability to complete a job 100% accurately is important
Must have the ability to do new concept creation quickly, using hand sketches, white board drawings or other means to capture and scale design intent quickly
Research of components, materials and processes to enhance machine designs and efficiency
Working to business systems in line with ISO9001
Machine building and assembly of parts when necessary
Site commissioning if required
Project Management

NB : Must be willing to travel internationally
