POSITION INFO:

Based in Johannesburg West, this role places you at the heart of mechanical design and development—contributing to the creation of detailed technical drawings, collaborating with Engineers and Fabricators, and ensuring quality output from concept to completion.

Education:

Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Draughting qualification (advantageous)

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, parts, and fabrication methods
Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings, including layouts, assemblies, and detail drawings
Understanding of manufacturing processes and tolerancing
Familiarity with ISO, SANS, or ASME drawing standards
Strong communication and documentation skills
Experience in creating BOMs and working with engineering change processes
Knowledge of P&IDs and sheet metal design is an advantage
