Mechanical Draughtsman

Education:

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Draughting qualification (advantageous)

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, parts, and fabrication methods
• Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings, including layouts, assemblies, and detail drawings
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and tolerancing
• Familiarity with ISO, SANS, or ASME drawing standards
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Experience in creating BOMs and working with engineering change processes
• Knowledge of P&IDs and sheet metal design is an advantage
