SUMMARY:
Senior General Mechanical Draughtsman (Contract) (+/- 10 years experience)

POSITION INFO:

Role:
Our product requirements demand an experienced background in draughting, focusing on steel fabrication and product knowledge. Our products are manufactured at volumes higher than the products they power. This requires you to be highly rigorous and hold your designs to the highest quality, reliability, and manufacturability. Our environment is demanding, fast-paced, and incredibly exciting.

Responsibilities:

Complete design and ownership of designs with engineering and manufacturing/fabrication. techniques from concept through production launch and ramp.
Produce and release detailed 2D parts and assembly drawings.
Work from sketches and specifications created by engineers and the sales team.
·Define technical specifications, dimensions, materials, and procedures for the products
Participate in sourcing and managing engineering relationships within the company.
Work under the supervision of engineers
Draft and prepare layout drawings of the given RFQ’s specifications
Accommodate ISO standards.

Required Qualifications/Skills

Strong engineering fundamentals in solid mechanics and heat transfer
Familiarity with properties and applications of common engineering metals and polymers
Strong communication skills and team mentality.
Proficiency in 3D CAD modelling.
Experience designing for one or more high volume manufacturing processes such as stamping, deep drawing, and metal welding.
