JOB SUMMARY:
Leading organization in the engineering and manufacturing sector is seeking to appoint a Mechanical Draughtsman to be based at their office in the Northern Suburbs.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Work with design engineers on machine and product design / improvements.
Detailing of engineering parts and assemblies.
Draughting of new and existing designs.
Draughting of machine and plant layouts.
Design and draughting of mechanical routings for machines and plant.
Design and draughting of general plant equipment.
Scheduling reviews with design engineers to obtain design and drawing approvals.
Accurate record keeping, updating, and general control of all drawings.
Issuing of final (approved) drawings of components, assemblies, and plant layouts for manufacturing / purchasing.
General tasks as required by your manager.

Requirements:

Matric / Grade 12.
National Certificate or Diploma in Draughting or related.
2+ years’ experience in design detailing and draughting.
Proficiency in CAD.
Computer literate.

Advantageous:

Experience in machine design.
Experience in Solid Edge.
Product data management experience.
