Job description:

The purpose of this position is to provide the essential technical knowledge, evaluate, select, and apply advanced engineering techniques to a broad set of engineering assignments.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Detailed design of industrial machines, sub-components, sheet metal design, weldments & large-scale assemblies
• Generate detailed drawings and BOM’s
• Prepare manufacturing and assembly instructions
• Experience with industrial machinery and structural design
• Ensuring all inspection and preventative maintenance tasks are documented and scheduled on the group CMMS
• Liaise with other departments about failures and potential solutions
• Drive preventive and predictive maintenance
• Drive continuous improvement
• Undertake quality assurance on mechanical work executed
• Compile reports on failures and tasks

Qualifying Criteria

• BSc/B.Eng./B-Tech in Mechanical
• At least 8 years’ experience in the maintenance or production environment would be beneficial
• Competency in computer aided engineering design and drawing
• Hands-on working experience in a maintenance or manufacturing environment would be beneficial
• Experience in hydraulic system design and maintenance advantageous
• Experience in electrical control systems advantageous
• Proven project management experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be fully Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook)
• Must have Strong proven administrative skills
• Experience working with an Computerized Maintenance Management System
• Knowledgeable on the Occupational Health & Safety Act
• Sound communication skills (understand, read and write English)
• Must be prepared to work overtime when required

07:30 – 17:00 Monday - Thursday

07:30 – 16:00 Fridays
