JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client has an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer in the Durban area.

Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering
3+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment – heavy industry would be an advantage
Continuous improvement knowledge and experience
Familiar with HP boilers & Steam reticulation systems
Familiar with Turbo Machinery

KPAs:

Ensure optimal performance of all Front-End mechanical equipment.
Drive Maintenance improvements to optimise efficiency and output of Front-End and Boiler mechanical equipment.
Engage effectively and collaborate with key suppliers/contractors
Manage/oversee pre-agreed on-site abnormal maintenance and capital projects
Audit and analyse maintenance systems with the aim of uncovering engineering related inefficiencies
