MECHANICAL ENGINEER / DRAUGHTSMAN
Cape Town, Macassar
R30 000 - R40 000 CTC per month

Our client is looking for a skilled, technically strong and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer / Draughtsman to join their Design Team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving real-world engineering challenges in water and wastewater treatment systems and enjoys working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Matric (or equivalent secondary qualification)
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in water and wastewater treatment
Proven experience in mechanical design and assembly
Proficiency in 2D design software (AutoCAD, BricsCAD) and 3D modelling tools (SolidWorks preferred)
Strong knowledge of weldment assemblies, pipe routing, sheet metal and manufacturing drawings
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
Experience in the water treatment industry is a strong advantage
